Even though i first stop the service before uninstalling,
the uninstalling often doesn't work. Instead, only a
message is logged, that the service is "marked for
deletion":

wrapper | DeleteService failed - Der angegebene Dienst
wurde zum L÷schen markiert. (0x430)

I hat to log of from the operating system and re-login to
remove the service correctly.

Info: i install/uninstall the service with the wrapper.exe
as showed in the example batch
files "InstallTestWrapper-NT.bat", "UninstallTestWrapper-
NT.bat".

In general, this should be working correctly. Could you
    give me some more information?

What windows version are you using?

Do you have the services control panel open when you
    uninstall the service?

Could you set the wrapper.debug=true property and then
attach the output using the upload field at the bottom of
    this issue page?

I have seen this a couple times over the years but have
never been able to reproduce it after a system reboot. How
reproduceable is this on your system?

    Cheers,
    Leif

Windows 2000 Professional (Microsoft Windows 2000 [Version
5.00.2195]). Yes, during development, I have the control
panel open ... is this not allowed?

The behaviour is: when i install, but not start it, i can
uninstall it. but once started, i can't uninstall it without
    reboot.

It's only a problem on my W2000 box when the services panel
is open when you uninstall the service. Just closing the
services and re-open it again and the service is removed.

What's also very important: first, uninstall with the old wrapper.conf, then
restart the service panel and then copy the new wrapper.conf and finally
install. The service seems to be very picky about the wrapper.conf file during
    uninstallation.
