Up until mountain lion, setting wrapper.java.additional.auto_bits=TRUE correctly translates to -d64. I just installed Mavericks and in the same environment, it's now setting -d32 and my 64-bit VM (1.7) fails.

This is a problem on our side, we don't handle product version composed of 2 digits such as 10.9 (like Mavericks). We always check for 3 digits (ex: 10.8.5).
It will be fixed in a future version of the Wrapper.
However, you can apply the fix yourself if you don't want to wait.
open the file src/bin/sh.script.in (note: you have probably renamed this file)
