(See http://wrapper.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/wrapper/trunk/wrapper/src/c/wrapper.c?revision=1639&view=markup&pathrev=1639, lines 2985-3031.)
On HP-UX 11i v3, running on a PA-RISC 2.0 processor, the wrapper will throw a warning if the java executable is a PA-RISC 2.0 executable. (The java executable attached will demonstrate this behavior.)
The error is due to the checkifBinary function, which currently tests for the magic cookie value 0x0x02100108; this is the PA-RISC 1.1 value. The value given for PA-RISC 2.0 is 0x0x02140107.
The wrapper will continue functioning normally, so this is warning, while perhaps a bit frightening, is cosmetic.
Testing suggests that it should suffice to add a branch for this case to the function.

Gabriel,
Sorry for the trouble. But thank you for the detailed report. It made it very easy to fix.
This check was added because we were having some users who were trying to launch the JVM indirectly with a shell script, etc. This was causing problems for the Wrapper's monitoring functions. We didn't want to completely make this kind of thing impossible, but we did want to warn against it.
This fix will be in the 3.5.3 release, due out shortly.
Cheers,
Leif
