Hi,
i wanted to build the wrapper for
Linux 2.6.22-gentoo-r8 #8 SMP PREEMPT ppc 7447A, altivec supported PowerBook5,6 GNU/Linux
but there was no appropriate Makefile in src/c in the new releases.
I came across this in the documentation for i2p on ppc where it mentions to download wrapper_3.1.2_src.tar.gz
Having done so, i found me not being able to build because of two reasons:
At first, i had to make the following changes to the Makefile.linux
wrapper: $(wrapper_SOURCE)
$(COMPILE) $(wrapper_SOURCE) -o $(BIN)/wrapper
must use -lm
$(COMPILE) $(wrapper_SOURCE) -lm -o $(BIN)/wrapper
libwrapper.so: $(libwrapper_so_OBJECTS)
${COMPILE} -shared -fPIC $(libwrapper_so_OBJECTS) -o $(LIB)/libwrapper.so
must use -lm
${COMPILE} -shared -fPIC $(libwrapper_so_OBJECTS) -lm -o $(LIB)/libwrapper.so
The next thing is, to change the compiler option from -O3 to -O2 , otherwise the application wont run (in this case, i got ld error during build).
I experienced this behaviour with many applications like CEL/Crystalspace/Planeshift etc. where the versions with O3 will always segfault on launch.
I have attached the Makefile i have created and tested with 3.1.2 to build the wrapper.
I then just copied this file to wrapper_3.2.3_src/src/c/Makefile-linux-ppc-32 and this build also worked ok.
Maybe this is usefull for you and you can again include support for linux-ppc-32
cheers

to clarify:
i had to add the -lm option because i received the ld error.
and when using -O3 the application could not be executed (as mentioned above (segfault)) but working when using -O2
