On Windows 2000, the following way of passing properties
works:
wrapper.app.parameter.1=CruiseControl
wrapper.app.parameter.2=-configfile myconfig.conf
On Linux (SLES 10.2) however, I need to write
wrapper.app.parameter.1=CruiseControl
wrapper.app.parameter.2=-configfile
wrapper.app.parameter.3=myconfig.conf

Geronimo,
This is due to differences in the way processes are launched on Windows and UNIX. The original verisons of the Wrapper only worked on Windows so combining arguments worked fine. Unix platforms require that each argument be in its own property or they will be treated as a single argument when the process is launched.
Once I realized that the Wrapper was allowing this on Windows, there were already several thousand users out there and I didn't want to break things for people.
I will add a warning message on startup though to get people to fix their configuration files.
Cheers,
Leif

Leif,
I noticed that in fact there are some more differences regarding Unix and Windows. My naive assumption was that once I have setup a working config file for Windows, it would work as well on Unix (path name issues aside).
This seems not to be the case, i.e. I just can't use wrapper on Unix.
My suggestion is to just document all known differences. This would make your truly e x c e l l e n t documentation even more charming and valuable.
Geronimo.

Geronimo,
What are the other differences that you noticed? I want to make sure that I am on top of them all.
Cheers,
Leif
