I am using this on two AIX boxes. It is running fine
on one of the AIX boxes having a 32 bit JVM. The
problem is coming on the other AIX box having a 64
bit JVM. It is giving following in log files:

WARNING - Unable to load the Wrapper's native
ibrary 'libwrapper.so'.
The file is located on the path at the
following location but could not be loaded:
/usr/local/sls/prod/messaging/bin/../lib/libwr
apper.so
Please verify that the file is readable by
the current user
and that the file has not been corrupted
in any way.
System signals will not be handled
correctly.

Can somebody help with this.

    Rahul,
32-bit JVMs use the 32-bit version of the Wrapper. 64-bit
JVMs require the 64-bit version of the Wrapper. This is
more obvious starting with version 3.2.0.

Unfortunately, I don't have access to any AIX systems.

You will need to build the AIX versions for 3.2.0 and 3.2.1
yourself. Download the "prerelease" distribution, then run
"./build32.sh release" or "./build64.sh release". In the
case of the 64 build, you will need to copy
    src/c/Makefile-aix-ppc-32 to src/c/Makefile-aix-ppc-64. If
any changes are required to the 64 bit makefile, please send
the modified file to me so I can include it in future
releases. Upload it and attach it to this issue.

To createh 64 bit makefile, you will most likely need to at
    least change the first line:
    COMPILE = gcc -DAIX
    to:
    COMPILE = gcc -m64 -DAIX

Post back if you get any errors that you can not figure out.
    I'll try to help out.

    Cheers,
    Leif

    Lief,

    Please Help:

I am trying to build 64-bit Wrapper build on AIX 5.3. I
have followed your recommendation as is listed in the post
    below and changed the following.

    COMPILE = gcc -maix64 -DAIX.

I am getting following errors while I execute build64.sh

    Manoj,
The error you are getting is because the jni.h file is not
being located correctly. Make sure that it exists under the
JDK that your JAVA_HOME variable is pointing to.

I do not have an AIX system to test this out on. But all of
the errors listed are being caused by that missing header file.

    Cheers,
    Leif

I got the same error. Then I tried building it on 64 bit aix and got following error about missing Makefile-aix-ppc-64. And it is actually not there. Can you please add it to the src bundle.

    compile-c-unix-check:
    **********************************************************************
Unable to locate a makefile for the current platform. Looking for:
    Makefile-aix-ppc-64
If the name contains any spaces or upper case characters then the
os and architecture need to be defined in the build.xml file as well.

The AIX PPC Makefile was not included until the 3.3.1 release. Please download the source for the latest release and you should not have any problems.

    Cheers,
    Leif
