Elementary Login Security

This is a plugin for WordPress that can help to mitigate the potential for passwords to be guessed through brute force methods.

• It was written for WordPress 3.5.1 but may work with earlier versions
• Login failures and temporary bans are recorded using the Transient API - no new database tables are created, expired entries are automatically purged and lightning fast performance can be achieved when used with certain caching plugins

Main features include:

• The length of time for which failed logins are retained can be adjusted
• The length of bans by IP address can be adjusted
• Permanent exceptions can be set up using the whitelist
• Permanent bans can be enforced using the blacklist
