Hi, Workrave has some basic support for Wayland in combination with Gnome (mutter). Unfortunately, Wayland lacks some feature that Workrave depends on. - No portable way of monitoring user activity. Workrave’s Wayland monitoring currently only support mutter. - No global coordinates. So Workrave can’t easiliy position break windows in the center of the screen. Workrave works around this problem by creating full screen semi transparent windows with the actual content in the center - No easy way to lock keyboard/mouse. So Workrave uses a full screen focussed window to block other application. - No ‘always on top’ windows, So Workrave cannot position its break windows on top of other windows. And when Workrave is not always on top, it cannot block keyboard/mouse. So, Wayland may not be mature enough for Workrave…. Contributions are of course welcome!
