The next version of Workrave will have a reading mode. In reading mode, the timers will not stop when you become idle. Timers only stop counting during breaks. The microbreak automatically restarts after the break; The restbreak timer restart on user activity (keyboard/mouse). > Some possible solutions: > * Change the time workrave considers to be inactivity. On my install > (1.9.1) it seems to wait about 7 seconds and then starts resetting the > timers. I'd like to try that value at around 1 minute. The delay can be configured, but not using the preferences GUI. You have to use regedit (on windows) or gconf-editor (on gnome) regedit: CURRENT_USER/Software/Workrave/monitor/idle gconf-editor: apps/workrave/monitor/idle time is in milliseconds. Changing this settings is not recommended and not supported. Values > 30 seconds may cause side-effects... Feel free to try a nightly build to try the reading mode and give feedback. Groetjes, Rob |
