Workrave supports two kinds of applets on Gnome:
- The notification area (system tray). Just add the notification area to
your applet. When workrave starts, it will immediately use it (if
enabled in the preferences)
- The workrave applet. Workrave always prefers this applet to the
notification area. The Workrave applet will automatically start the
Workrave application. If Workrave is not running, the applet always
shows a sheep.
Do you use the Workrave applet?

I use the workrave applet. Right now the timers are on my taskbar
correctly.
I will try to use the notification area the next time it happens :)
May it be happening because I maybe left too little space for the
workrave timers?
When you don't see the timer: Is workrave itself running? Do you see a
white sheep in the panel? What is the output of
'bonobo-activation-run-query _active | grep -i Workrave'

It is running. I even see the timers window if I click on the sheep.

By the way, I have another question. I use two desktops, but I run a
program at full screen on the main desktop.
Is it possible to configure workrave to use the GNOME panel of the
second X11 screen? It always uses the first screen's panel notification
area.

By the way 2, congratulations on the workrave software development. It
is one of the nicest pieces of software I've seen in the past few
years. Very creative and useful. I recommended it to all my friends,
and they all seem to think the same :)

Thank you for the attention
