The 'idle' setting is a setting of the monitoring component. This compone=
nt is only
responsible for deciding whether the user is 'active' or not. When you st=
art typing, the
monitoring component marks you 'active' after 1s. When you stop working, =
the monitoring
component marks you 'idle' after 5s. This information is used to start an=
d stop the
timers. When you are prompted to take a break, workrave wait until you ar=
e idle before
showing the break window. The prompt is removed after 30s if you did not =
stop working.
So if the idle setting is 30 seconds or more, workrave will remove the pr=
ompt window and
will not start the break. As a workaround, you can set 'maximum number of=
prompts' to 1.
Workrave will then always start the break after the first prompt, even if=
you did not
stop working. You can also turns off prompting ('prompt before breaking')=
.
