The spellchecker is very much designed for English --- sorry. It just
matches a word from the dictionary with a word in the file, so it doesn't
know about word endings and abbreviations. It will consider *l'école* to be
a single word.

But it should work. However, the current development build doesn't seem to
show misspelt words at all, so there's something wrong there. What version
