Do I need to do something special to make them work? Do you mean they don't appear on screen, or you can't add bold/italics/underline text to the document? To add to the document: CTRL+SPACE, type, CTRL+U (or CTRL+I). To change existing text: move to start, CTRL+SPACE, move to end, CTRL+U (or CTRL+I). Bold's not supported, alas. (Terminals can only display three orthogonal types of markup, and I'm using all of them already.) In order to see the styles on-screen, you need a terminal which honours emphasised text and underlined text --- which they all do these days. If you're not seein the styles appear then most likely you've managed to tell it the wrong TERM type. What terminal are you using? If it's Ubuntu, it's probably gnome-terminal, which I use, and it works fine there. PS: if you're going to mail the list, please subscribe. Otherwise I have to manually moderate your messages and send explicit replies to you. - -- ┌─── dg@cowlark.com ───── http://www.cowlark.com ───── │ "There is nothing in the world so dangerous --- and I mean *nothing* │ --- as a children's story that happens to be true." --- Master Li Kao, │ _The Bridge of Birds_ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iD8DBQFK9KpDf9E0noFvlzgRAleSAKCaT2HxLy43g9HJ6c3TpGWQR67npwCePnqk x5mvoKaSNZibz20MXT8/U1Q= =pZk+ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
