ERXWOTextField throws wrong Exception in Method "takeValuesFromRequest"? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Key: WONDER-410 URL: http://issues.objectstyle.org/jira/browse/WONDER-410 Project: Project Wonder Issue Type: Bug Environment: ERXWOTextField last Revisionchange for component was 7710 Reporter: Tobias Busch Im not really sure if this is a bug. I have the problem, that when a NumberFormatter throws a NumberFormatException in ERXWOTextField, the catch Clause from "takeValuesFromRequest" Method, changed the Exception into a "NSValidation.ValidationException". Because of that, I don't know how to localize this Exceptionmessage. If the "takeValuesFromRequest" Method would throw a "ERXValidationException" instead of the "NSValidation.ValidationException", then the NumberFormatException (or every other ParseException) could be localized via ValidationTemplate.strings. This Bug regards to the following Problem: Got a ERXWOTextField with a Number Only Formatter Binding. -> Typing into TextField some not valid characters (e.g. character = "b") -> Throws Exception with following Error Message "The character b in the string b is not a valid character for a number with a pattern of ####0.00;####0.00;-####0.00" -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://issues.objectstyle.org/jira/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira |
