Hm.. That would be useful but changing the schema now would result in heavy changes for people using the WIX toolset in the production environment. Also, changing the schema frequently does not help the WIX toolset users. It greatly increases the learning curve. I would propose that you store the extra values in your own format and generate a WXS file out of that. Also, if you could let us know the list of extra hooks that you need, we could suggest a feasible workaround.
