Hi Everyone, Just in case you missed it The WireframeTool project has been restarted. http://sourceforge,net/projects/wireframetool=20 Some initial discussion have been happening behind the scenes and an = updated version of the tool is available from the downloads section of the = project. https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=3D33502 The latest version is 5.00beta. It is an update of the project's previous = public release. Thanks Kevin Roche. 5.00beta is compatible with CFMX and BD7 and is now a Fusebox 5 application= too. As a temporary measure, until we can sort out a definitive fix, I have = added into the release a workaround for the issue of Wireframe names with = spaces / underscores / hyphens and a few other invalid characters. (I've simply stripped them out of the form field before the file is = created.) I have closed all previously open bug reports / feature requests to = enforce the separation between the previously released versions and the = new one. To kick start discussions please find below a list of bugs that still = apply to the current version and also a list of feature requests that have = previously been made. I personally don't agree with some of the feature requests, but that's a = personal opinion and this is a community-based project. Please be sure to = voice your opinions and include anything new that isn't included here too. Bugs: 1) semi-colons allow multiple responsibilities for a fuse to be shown - If = you re-edit the fuse you lose the semi-colons. This will only be a problem is we keep with the current text file format = for data persistence. (It seems quite likely that we'll shift to XML) 2) Wireframe names cannot be longer than 15 characters. Error checking = required at wireframe name insertion. 3) file names must be lower case for Unix / Linux users. camelCaseFileNames= are not liked (in custom tags) on Linux. 4) wireframe names with spaces, hyphens etc not allowed in CFML variables. Currently a work-around has been put in place - but it should be revisited.= Features: 1) Ability to add in html mock-ups. 2) Global exits in WireframeTool 3) XML data format / file format 4) XML export 5) Create a word / RTF document from wireframe for user docs. 6) Provide separate views for developer / client 7) Creation of fusedocs - (see FuseMinder - grokfusebox.com) 8) Creation of skeleton application - (see FuseMinder - grokfusebox.com) 9) Provide Fusedoc validation - (see FuseDocMiner - grokfusebox.com) Don't be shy - sign up if you're not already a member of the project! Hope to hear from you all soon! --=20 Gavin Baumanis E: ga...@th... W: www.thespidernet.com =20 |

Code Improvements item #539898, was opened at 2002-04-05 13:01 You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=411652&aid=539898&group_id=33502 Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Stephen Giese (sgiese) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Case-Sensitive File Names Initial Comment: We use ColdFusion 4.5 on a UNIX server. I installed the files in "wireframetool400alpha.zip". The index.cfm file tries to cfinclude "fbx_fusebox30_CF40.cfm" but the file name in the archive is "fbx_fusebox30_cf40.cfm". On UNIX "CF" is significantly different from "cf". I changed the name of the file, but then it tries to cfinclude "fbx_Circuits.cfm" while the file name is really "fbx_circuits.cfm". Could you make the file names match the code? It's conventional on UNIX to use lowercase file names. Thanks, Stephe ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=411652&aid=539898&group_id=33502 |

Lee, I can understand your family's concern. My new wife (of three days) and I just changed all of our honeymoon plans so we could stay on the ground and in Canada. We're leaving tomorrow, and will be back on October 9th. I'm still going to attend the conference, and would be happy to do the presentation for you. I've used the tool on a few projects and feel comfortable presenting its strengths and usefulness. If you are comfortable with waiting until the 9th to start discussing the presentation I'd be happy and eager to work with you on this. Please let me know. Subject: [Wireframetool-misc] Conference Speaker - any volunteers? Importance: High Hi all, As you may know, I was going to be speaking at the Conference in Orlando. But you probably don't yet know that I have decided, at the request of my family, to give international and US travel a miss for the near future. I will therefore not be attending the conference. Now that leaves a hole in the conference that needs filling. I am looking for an experienced WireFramer to present in my place. I have the presentation outlined (with a sample application wireframed and built) and would be happy to flesh it out it completely or collaborate with the speaker. I know that time is slipping away ;-) Please let me know if you are interested. Reply to this list and/or to bj...@bj..., please. Thanks guys, I guess I'll have to catch up with you all next year.
