#34 Carriage Returns Fail
Carriage Returns do not seem to work properly in the Responsibilities field. While I would say that they should probably not be used anyway, it seems that the behavior could be improved.
Right now, when any data is entered into the Responsibility text after a carriage return, it appears that the data does not save. Subsequent viewings do not show anything after the first carriage return. If one views the data file itself, all entered data can be seen, including text after a carriage return. However, once that wireframe item is viewed and changed, the data is gone.
I understand that the underlying data structure uses carriage returns as a delimiter. However, it would be nice to strip out such characters from the field before inserting. A further improvement would be some sort of notification that carriage returns will be eliminated, maybe in the form of a javascript pop-up. Or perhaps a suggestion to use pure HTML tags (such as <BR>) instead.

Hi Hilary,
This has been an annoyance in the tool for a long time.
We hope that with the redesign of the tool to use XML this will become a mute point.
None the less we will keep thi bug ticket open, untilI can conform that it is working properly.
I have a fix for this. How do I send it in?
