    Using wipfw-0.5.5b_W7x32 on W7 32bit

    From an administrative cmd prompt

    Running install_svc.cmd gives "my_socket failed 2, cannot talk to kernel module"

    C:\wipfw-0.5.5b_W7x32>install_svc.cmd
    ipfw_svc service has been installed

    The ipfw helper service service is starting.
    The ipfw helper service service was started successfully.

    lo0 - MS TCP Loopback (127.0.0.1)
    eth0 - Realtek RTL8102E/RTL8103E Family PCI-... (192.168.1.65)

    Current rules:
    my_socket failed 2, cannot talk to kernel module
    ipfw: socket

    Default action is ALLOW
    Log files are located in C:\Windows\security\logs
    Change wipfw.conf file for your taste.

    I have the same problem too !
    It used to work perfectly well under WinXP.
    Following the termination of XP support, I'm forced to go Win7 (32-bit,with SP1), but then WIPFW cannot be installed.
    I really hope that it can be ported to Win7.

    Please port WIPFW on Win7.
