In Win XP
(I can't tell what ipfw version as there doesn't seem to be a -v or --version)
C:\WINDOWS\security\logs
had
wipfw20140428.log
wipfw20140429.log
wipfw20140430.log
del wipfw*.log left me with
wipfw20140430.log
which process explorer says is locked by the system process pid 4.
I can't clear it
C:\>ipfw reset log
error 65: invalid rule number ``log'' (win32: 0)
C:\>
I can run uninstall.cmd it's quick and then I can delete the log file. But isn't there meant to be a clear option within ipfw without me having to uninstall ipfw? ipfw reset log doesn't work for some reason.
