I have a Synology box running NUT that would be very nice to monitor. It requires the username and password to be customized for the Synology implementation and I see no way to do that through the settings available.
Also, if you are going to claim GNU licensing, where's the source?

Regarding the source I am pretty sure the source was uploaded.
Checked now and you are right I can't find it anymore on the site.
To be frank I have abandoned the project a long time ago in favour of a web interface I wrote at some later point of time.

As to your request, I never ever implemented nut connectivity with auth as far as I can remember.
In general I think it would be much easier to modify it on your NAS box.
First question would be , do you have ssh/console access to your Synology?
If you do, then just go to /etc/nut , /etc/ups or a similar folder where configs for nut daemon are stored.
