Hello, My name is Dusan and I would like to ask you about some of my problems. I have SkyStar2 DVB card and a remote that came with it. It's Technisat TS35. Software for watching satellite TV, that I also got on a CD with my card, is DVBViewer. When I installed DVBViewer , WinLIRC was installed also. Then, I ran DVBViewer, configure (only the first time) what needs to be configured on WinLIRC configuration window and everything is working OK. Configuration file that I used was technisat.cf. From that point forward, every time I start DVBViewer, WinLIRC starts aswell and there is no problem. After a while, I changed software for watching satellite TV, started using ProgDVB and everything went wrong. My remote doesn't work at all. I read some things on your site and here is what I understood or at least I tried to: 1. WinLIRC server needs to be installed (that is why I downloaded WinLIRC version 0.6.5) 2. after installation it gets signals from my remote, decodes them and sends a single line of ASCII text to all connected clients describing the button that was pressed 3. now the application (in my case ProgDVB) should receive it and react but it doesn't, and there is my problem. My questions are: 1. Can I use the same configuration file like before (technisat.cf)? If not which one should I use or if I need to make one, how? 2. Is there any plugin that connects my application (ProgDVB) with WinLIRC server or do I need completely independent program that sends commands to ProgDVB? Which ones? 3. Should my WinLIRC server start together with ProgDVB like it started with DVBViewer or not? If not can I make it and how? 4. Is it important where different installations are (on C, D, C:\Program Files,...)? If you know how can I fix the problem I have please explain, and please use as much details as you can. I could really use some help because I'm getting desperate thinking I will never make this remote work with ProgDVB. Thank you in advance. --------------------------------- Yahoo!
