I am a paid user and need to understand the method you are using for updating versions. When a new version is released, I receive an email advising me of it. If I download and install it, I lose all added or changed software, email, added program downloads, etc. made to the existing or last version installed. When I update the existing previous system from within Settings it does not reflect the new version level. So how do I know my system us up to date? Example: Winux 11.25.09 with Power Tools Updates applied should, under, System/Power Tools Specifications/Version, have changed to Winux 11.25.09.1 - However, it does NOT. So, IF I need to reinstall the entire system each time you send out an update, that would be a reason not to use Winux anymore. I like the system and have more than one copy so please explain how updates work exactly. Thanks.

System updates are provided on two levels. The system is based on Ubuntu 24.04, and system updates are provided directly by Canonical. We now provide PowerTools updates directly via OTA. You haven't received any PowerTools OTA updates yet because the fixes aren't a priority and only affect FREE users. As a PRO user, you will receive important updates for your version, and the version number in your control panel will automatically change. You can rest assured that you won't need to reinstall the system every time, as the system receives important updates directly from Canonical's Ubuntu Noble LTS repositories.
