This is likely due to you not understanding the part limitations. Each item has a list of valid parts and if you put parts that are not valid on an item then it will not appear in game. To make things more complicated, those rules have changed for some items between Borderlands classic and the new enhanced version so you might create an item with the Gear Calculator at the BLModding website for instance and if you load it into the classic version of Borderlands it will work fine, but if you attempt to either edit a save from Borderlands GOTY Enhanced or import your savegame from classic to enhanced using the Import feature at the main menu the item will not show up because its got an invalid combination of parts under the new Borderlands enhanced item rules.
If you paste a copy of the weapon you are trying to create here I can tell you what the problem is with the parts you have selected.

I'm having a problem importing some new pearl weapons (Aries, Serpens, and Omega Shield) from WillowTree on my PC (Borderlands GOTY Enhanced). I have all the clipboard information from the modding forum calculator and all the guns are legit. For some reason when i start the game, they aren't located in the bank at moxxis or my backpack. I'll drop the weapon codes in a reply down below. Can you help me in this regard? Thanks man.

I have not saved any information with the regular borderlands GOTY. I have
been only playing GOTY Enhanced on the PC and saving these weapon codes
onto the save data for GOTY Enhanced. That being said, I remember I was
having an issue importing the clipboard codes straight to my backpack on
the willowtree within my save on Monday. When I would import the codes
straight to the backpack I was getting an error notification and it would
exit out of willow tree. What I did was import the codes to the bank, then
copy those codes to the backpack. I will try your aforementioned method to
see if that will work (to import the codes individually). In addition, if i
keep running into issues, is there any chance I can send you my steam
account to import those pearlescent weapons into my game? Either that or If
you could help me run through it over a phone call, I would really
appreciate it either way. Let me know if those methods would be okay with
you.
In any case, you have been incredibly helpful in this regard and I
appreciate your help in this matter. I will try to implement this when I
get back home from work. Thanks Matt.
P.S. I am based out of Dallas, TX. Where are you located?

Tested your 4 weapons and 2 shields. All of them appeared properly in both Borderlands classic and Borderlands GOTY Enhanced on the PC with WT# 2.4.0.309.
To insert these into your savegame use the following steps:
1) Load your savegame in WT# by using File->Open from the main menu
2) Copy all the text lines for one item to the clipboard.
3) Select the appropriate weapon or items tab in WT#
4) Click on Import->From Clipboard in the menu at the top of the list on the left side. The item should appear in the character's inventory list.
5) Repeat steps 2-4 for the other 5 items.
6) Click on File-Save in the main menu (or press Ctrl-S) to save the edited savegame back to the disk.

I'm sorry the instructions I've given you should be enough for you to get it to work. I can't give you any more specific instructions.
One thing I just thought of though is that Borderlands enhanced uses cloud saving. If you edit your savegame while Borderlands is not running then when you launch Borderlands Steam will try to copy your savegames from the cloud. If you edited a savegame since the last time you shut down Borderlands then Steam should notify you that your local files are newer than the files in the cloud and ask you which one you want to use. You should allow it to upload your local file to the cloud to update the cloud. If you use the cloud save then it will just overwrite your changes.
If you alt-tab out of Borderlands while it is sitting at the main menu of Borderlands then you don't need to worry about the cloud saving because cloud saves are downloaded from Steam when you launch a game and uploaded to Steam when you shut down the game, so if you edit the data in between (while Borderlands is still running) it will not be overwritten and the changed savegames will be automatically uploaded to the cloud when you shut down Borderlands.

I still am unable to import the shield/weapons over. I can't exactly figure
out what the problem seems to be...
I saved changes to the shield, then saved it to file Save0001 in GOTY
folder. Not sure what else to do.
