I've been dabbling over the past day trying to work around WillowTree#. One of the things that I am trying to do is convert an xbox 360 file into a ps3 file. I open up the file as usual and click on convert to PS3 and save as. Only when I go to open it up on the ps3 game it says that the file is corrupted.
I've read a few of the topics on here which has stated it's not possible to convert from PC to Xbox / PS3 but I wanted to know if Xbox to PS3 is still possible? If so, is there any reason why this may be happening?
I'd be happy to provide additional details / files if anyone could offer any support.
Thank you in advance for any advice.
Best Regards,

WillowTree# does not create all the files needed for you to use the save file. It only creates the save file itself. There is other data stored on your flash drive that contains information about your profile and machine ID.
If you want to use an Xbox 360 savegame on a PS3 you would have to first start out by formatting a flash drive on your PS3, then you would need to start a new game in Borderlands PS3 and save it to the flash drive. This will create a borderlands save file, along with the directory structure and profile data that is needed for your PS3 machine. Now inside that flash drive you will find somewhere a file called SAVE0001.SAV. If you want to transfer your Xbox 360 save file to the PS3 then you need to open the Xbox 360 save in WT#, select PS3 format from the file menu, then use Save As to save the file with the same name as the PS3 one somewhere on your hard drive. Delete the old SAVE0001.SAV from the PS3 flash drive and copy that file into its place.
WARNING: PS3 file names are case sensitive! I don't remember off hand what the exact case is of the PS3 file name. I think it is all uppercase SAVE0001.SAV, but I might be wrong. Before you delete the file on your PS3 flash drive you need to look at the exact case of the filename that your PS3 created and make sure that you have all the same uppercase and lowercase letters in the file name. If you don't have the case correct, it will tell you that your save is corrupt.

Oh one other thing I should warn you about. You need to make sure that you change the save slot from your Xbox 360 save to whatever the save slot was for the PS3 save that you are replacing. If the Xbox 360 save doesn't use the same save slot that the PS3 one does and you forget to change it, then when you are playing the game and it tries to write the save it will overwrite whichever save slot is written in its savegame data, even if thats not the one it loaded from. You could end up overwriting another character if you don't pay attention to this. You can view and change the save slot in the General tab. You should use whatever slot was used in the save you are replacing.
If you are moving a save from a PS3 to an Xbox 360 you would use the same method as from Xbox 360 to PS3. Create a new character on the Xbox 360 so you have all the files you need, then replace the SAVE????.SAV file with the file saved by WT#. Use the same save slot and file name for your replacement save that the new character you created had, which might not be the same as it was on the PS3.

Thank you for your response. Just a reference for anyone else countering the same issue, it turns out that when the file is saved its as a .sav where as the PS3 requires it to be a SAVE000?.SAV so it might need to be renamed to this.
I managed to get my file from my 360 to my PS3 though so I'm pleased :) Thank you for your help.
