So I was wondering, is it possible to use Willowtree to move characters between PSN accounts, seeing as that is normally prevented. I take it some sort of code in the character save data would stop cross-account usage, so is there any way to delete or change this to allow me to switch them between accounts at my will?

Also, not to spam with questions, but is it common for the weapon info button to display Support Machine Gun damage as 0 in every case?

    1. Don't know about PS3 file security. But I believe that if you copy you file and rename it with willow tree, it should be possible.

    2.Screenshot plz ?

Well the only thing I can see that might be locking it out of other accounts is some code in the PARAM.SFO file, in which it notes "ACCOUNT_ID ATTRIBUTE CATEGORY DETAIL PARAMS PARAMS2 PARENTAL_LEVEL SAVEDATA_DIRECTORY SAVEDATA_LIST_PARAM SUB_TITLE TITLE   3d730b3c887565f8    SD".

Now I'm no coder or anything, so treat me like a fool if you will but that "ACCOUNT_ID" part seems suspicious. Could the series of numbers and letters within the file lock it to a certain account number? I might take some data from the other acccount's PARAM file and paste it over any mismatched data to see if that changes anything.

Deathunt, here's the image link. I reckon this is a common occurence, as I have seen others complain about this problem too.

Sorry to double post, but YES!

I've managed to get my Roland to work on the other account. I realised that two characters on one account shared a number string, that one at the end of my previous post, whilst my Roland had a different one. I just replaced every instance of it and bam, it was done. Sorry for the fact that this thread is now taking up space at the top, but I am chuffed I managed to do it.

Yup it a bug. It fixed in the lastest build (not released).

Nice1 for being able to duplicate file

Thanks man. And about my Roland, well, I managed to get him to work, but upon saving the file went corrupt. I reckon I must be missing something here but I see no way around it.

How to transfer a save to a new playstation profile:

    1. Copy the .SAV file from the old PSN character/account to your computer.  You shouldn't need the other related files because you are going to create them on the new playstation profile.
    2. Log into new PSN account and play Borderlands and create a completely new empty character and go to the New-U station and change its name to something different than the first one (so you will know which is which and because this will make sure your new character has actually saved).
    3. Copy the save files from the new PSN character/account to your flash drive
    4. Open the .SAV file from the new character in WT# and write down the save slot number from the general tab
    5. Open the .SAV file from the old character in WT#, set the save slot number to the same as the original character was, then save it over top of the .SAV file of the new character one you created (or delete the original and save in the same place with the same name).

The damage calculation in 2.2.1.102 was completely and utterly broken.  Don't rely on any information provided in the weapon info window.

If you use the experimental revision the damage calculation was reworked, so it is definitely more accurate.  I don't recall whether it is completely accurate or not, but it is fairly close.

Okay thanks man, and I just tried that method before you posted it, but thank you anyway. I guess this resolves my issue for now, thank you to everyone who helped.

Ok, in step 5 that should have been to set the save slot number to the save slot of the new character you created not the original.  Obviously the old save is the original character so it would always have the original slot number.  The new character may or may not have the same slot number.  Whatever the new character has is what you need to edit into your old save before you try to use it, otherwise you'll load the character from one save slot and it will save in a different save slot, possibly overwriting your other character!
