Before i started to try and play, i changed the status of the Circle of duty missions and some of the custom maps as i wanted to play them again - but after i had the problem, i tried changing the mission statuses back to all being finished but i'm still getting the same fault
BUT i solved it by using one of the atuomatic bakup files - brilliant!

Honestly I have no idea what the problem is. Certainly it is possible to make invalid changes to the save file with WT# that would confuse Borderlands and cause it to crash. If you email me a copy of the save file that was causing the problem I can try to inspect the data in it manually and see if I can figure out which part of it might be confusing Borderlands and try replacing suspect parts of it with valid data to narrow down the cause and see if it is something that needs to be fixed in WT# or if you just made a change that you didn't understand the significance of that resulted in corruption of the save file.
If you do that please tell me in the email exactly which version of WT# you were using to edit it as well so I can inspect the appropriate code and make sure you are not encountering a bug in WT# that I have already repaired in the latest experimental revision.

The email address to mail the save file to is matt911@users.sf.net. I seem to have forgotten to leave it. It would be difficult to email me without the email address.

i hadn't used borderlands for a few days but when i tried today i had a problem.
The game starts up ok, but when i try to load my character it crashes and shows this:
General Protection Fault!
History: GetPlugin Count() Address: 0x1472bfc (filename not found) [in C:\Program Files (x86)\2k Games \ Gearbox Software \ Borderlands \ Binaries \ Borderlands.exe]
