Hi all, Here is a rough sketch of a schedule for the devcon (16th sept). Please note that we have to compress all this into a single 8-12hr day. If we are fewer than 15, we may be able to secure some meeting space (Penguinlabs) Otherwise we'll have to use the IFC venue. Starts at ~8AM Introductions Project Introduction ::Joseph? Rough sketch of goals and ways to get there Goals Priorisation Hacking Summary and Overview of achievements Other Items.... (Key signing, chatting etc) Ends at ~6-7PM @DavidKago >This is OK but it seems you have limited the development to a particular technology/platform. I dont see anything on Java, XML, AJAX, SOAP etc. Where's our place!! Is this also limited to Unix only, where are win32 pple? Nope: we are not limiting ourselves to a single technology. We are actually using XUL (User interface design done in XML), Javascript (AJAX uses it), Maybe SOAP for updates... So we do need a large skillset. Please note that the project aims to be crossplatform. It should run across windows, *nix and the MacOS platform out of the box (XUL does this for us). Thus, we can't say that we are limiting ourselves to a single technology. We are using technology that rises abstracts the platform. @Job Ballard Some design work may come your way. Can we all move the discussion to the mailing lists... On 9/7/06, morris muchemi <mmu...@gm...> wrote: > Sorry, forgot this.
