If u want to show "<" character is impossible.
It y try the code &lt; it also do not work.

    I had '<select node>' in a page. It displayed fine. Looking at the HTML showed '&lt;select node&gt;'

    When I attempted to edit the page, it contained an empty pull down select box. Switching to non-HTML mode showed ' <p><select></select></p>'

    It seems the editor is parsing &lt; as <, then re-interpreting it as HTML. 'Tis a pain.
