In addition to this, I also think there is value for having a central Forum for each project for general discussion that isn't necessarily associated with any one leaf, like we had for 3.0. I think we should seed each new Forum with an 'Ideation Zone' thread where non-Second Life using contributors are encouraged to upload ideas, files, etc. that are then available to anyone to take and develop further into a contribution to the wiki-tree in world. The name of the person who contributed the idea to the ideation zone is then included in the contribution assessment just the same as any other member.
They could be treated as leaves, but made from the website side... perhaps if someone combined two leaves into a new derivative design, but did so through sketches, they could still submit it as a new leaf to the system, and new leaf bud would sprout out on the 'wiki-tree' inworld. The new leaf inworld would take on a different graphic look, indicating that it was created from the website side. If someone clicked on this 'leaf' in world, it would open the inworld browser to this submission.
