Incorporate an expandable/collapsible Forum module under each leaf-cell - with each comment in the thread (in addition to a vote tally as described elsewhere in this doc), have the ability to upload a file. This would be an ideal place for contributors who don't want to use Second Life to upload any kind of file format they wish to contribute - subject to the community's votes on that part of the thread. They have the incentive of making their file as accessible as possible in order to achieve the greatest liklihood of acceptance. For example, if they upload some arbitrary CAD file that nobody can review, they won't get many votes. But if they submit a sketchup model, or a photograph of a cardboard study model, everyone can see and understand where they're coming from. This way, we can still enable anyone in the world to participate in a meaningful way, without forcing them to use Second Life.
