Hi Mark,

when I try to edit a collection as superadmin, I can't edit much more than the title.

Thanks for your work

I get access to collection title and shortTitle.

    Is this from Resource|Edit...|Collections?

Yes. Maybe I'm lost somewhere, but what about all the other things like editors, year, address etc.?

Something I've been meaning to do for some time. . .

    Moving this to feature requests.

The collections data should be expanded to include as one conceptual set:
    Title
    ShortTitle
    Type
    Reference to Publisher
    Edition
    Reference to Editors
    Reference to years

All this info. should come up automatically when entering a new resource that is a part of a collection. Collections include proceedings and music albums (which already exist) and new resource types edited books (anthologies), journals, newspapers and magazines.

    Caveats:
    1. 'Collection A' edition 1 is a different collection to 'Collection A' edition 2.
    2. The 6 collection types listed above should be separate resources themselves.
    3. Clearly, wikindx users can enter the collection resource first then add new resources that are part of that collection. However, it should be possible to add a collection part and have wikindx automatically extract and store the collection resource.
    4. Doing it the second way above does not necessarily mean that the wikindx user wants the collection to be displayed as a separate resource in lists. There should be an option to make the collection visible or not after resource entry (this requires a new database column in the resource table).
    5. Collection editing should be a separate menu item (as it currently is) because not all collections (as in 4.) above will be available in resource lists.
    a) When editing, there should be an option to make the collection visible in lists or not.
    b) Collection editing opens the usual resource edit form.
    6. Both types of collection (visible or not) should be available in collection select boxes (resource new/edit, search, select etc.).
