OK have put in 1.3 (Your read me file still says to update index.php instead of config.php) it shows up in Admin>Plugin but not as an option on any other menu.
I also installed importexportbib and this also only shows on Admin>Plugin but not as an option on any other menu.
Tried with Firefox on Windows and Ubuntu.

All working now, note that when obtaining an associate id you then need new public/private keys as the old ones will no longer be accepted. But if you start with the old keys it helpfully puts up the link for you as an Amazon error message.
Just a thought the Associate tag is intended for drawing an income but as far as my bibliography is concerned I dot see that happenning so it is a bit OTT to need to go through that sign up process. Is using Associate tag the only way the importer still works? Will be interesting to see if get any balance on the account without actually driving advertising :D

EDIT: nevermind. Just had to rename the plugin folder "importamazon4.2_1.6_CONFIG" to "importamazon" so it could register its class.

Searched high and low on aws and nothing I can see which is labelled as associate? So where/what ??
Tried installing without the "associate" but Wikindx does not run at all, just a blank screen.
Amazon is always changing things making it difficult to keep up.

OK reverted to original and then added keys into config.php but still get a blank screen when i start up wikindx :(

What happens if error reporting is turned on?
Can you email your config file for the amazonimport?

P.S.: For those still wondering about the tag: It's not included in AWS, but in the advertising-acc, as far as I know. One can register and get the key from:

But. . . check that that CONFIG file does exist where it should be. If not, try a reinstall of the plugin.
