I have two computers running windows 8.1 pro on one the erd profile loads fine on the second it refuses to load. i also tried the WAE modules from the original starUML and they worked on the first computer not the second. is there a requirement that is missing from the new computer?

It may be related to the requirement of .Net Framework 2 or 3 being installed. It is not preinstalled on Win 8 but fetched from Internet if needed. You may check if parsing class name with a stereotype like "<<stereo>> class1" passes correctly. It uses the same parsing module as ERD.

Parsing .nxt files uses the same module as parsing class names and I do not remember seeing one part working while the other was broken. Since the version 5.6 ERD is not activated automatically and you do it in Model - Profiles if you need it. Or maybe just reinstalling the whole program will help with that.

the key seems to be to uninstall then reinstall after the .net is installed. i had removed and reinstalled multiple times before the .net 2/3 was installed and it it did not work but after the .net it worked. it is working now. thank you for your help

all of the profiles that are loading do not have .nxt files. is there the possibility that might be related?
