when I try to run the assembler.pl script, it crashes
at the unitigger stage because it tries to run a
command "fgb" that is not included in the distribution:

I'm sorry to be replying 5 months after your bug report. My group had not been
using the SourceForge bug tracker till now.
The fgp program is included in the distribution. I presume your build was not
error free. Are you still having the problem? This bug report will automatically
