Sometimes I have wished installing certain software could require a lot less struggle. To this end I have started creating scripts for myself to automate things, and also document my method. Other people have found that useful, so I've posted my scripts here.

It's good that this project page now has a use. The original motivation was an itch that someone else quickly scratched, so the project was idle for years.
