We'd like to know if anybody finds this project interesting. I know there's not much to go on right now; the homepage barely gives you a coarse picture of the goals of the project. Anyway, try to give comments of what you'd like to see in this kind of software.
Hopefully, you'll start to see the bigger picture as more information is published. Until then, do some brain-storming with us.
Regards,
Greger

Hi Greger and Niklas,
I'm also interested in Workflow automation and would love to work on this project.
But i registered with Ofbiz (Open For Business) where there is also a plan (and some code) to write a very flexible/powerfull WorkFlow engine.
You should go and take a look (and maybe contribute) : www.sourceforge.net/projects/ofbiz

I had a quick look at the OfBiz project, and although it touches on workflow, the scope of the two projects are quite different. The intent with this project is to give a lean and mean workflow automation engine exposed as an XML-RPC service accessible from just about any languga for which an XML-RPC implementation exists (there are currently 46 implementations).
The OfBiz is J2EE and includes a huge bunch of stuff that this project intentionally does not address. We are currently putting together some additional information on the engine as we have envisioned it. We will publish it soon so that more developers can join the discussion. We want the engine to be super-slim and its scope to be very limited to make it work in many environments and situations. It will be customizable to allow for various back-ends to be plugged in for storage, and whatever.
Please share your thoughts, and look out for updates on the homepage. We'll update it as more of our thoughts are formalized.
Regards,
Greger

Sorry for the late reply. We haven't spent any time on this project lately due to deadlines with other software we're developing, but we haven't closed it down yet either. So if you're still interested, we could get some activities going. We have a draft of an XML-RPC interface that we could discuss if you'd like. Feel free to contact me if you haven't moved on already.
Have a nice day,
Greger

Is this project still active. If yes, I will be really interested by it, if not, I will have to start a new project with the same goals.

Stephane
