Any idea how I could start to port this to OSX would be
of assistance, especially as I have a Airport card in
my machine and would like to try this out. Any idea how
ti make the adjustment to the lib file to recognise this?

I believe the AirPort card is similar if not identical to the Orinocco silver
card.
