How can you specify global resource bundle files that can be used/accessed by all JSP's? The examples that ship with WW show FormTest.jsp using FormTest.properties... Thanks. |

Hello, I'm using the tabbedpane Tag : <webwork:tabbedpane id="tp1" contentName="'tabs1'" tabAlign="'RIGHT'"/> with web logic 6.1 SP2, WebWork 1.0.2, JDK 1.3.1_02. It works fine with action and Java class associated in order to do the filling of the tabbedpane. But i meet a a problem with the tag inside the file tabbepane.jsp(standard template), at the end : <webwork:include value="selectedUrl"/>, this is a fonction call inside the class TabbedPaneTag.getSelectedUrl() which extract the value from the MAP in function of the current index of the TabbedPane. Each time the tag doesn't appear after building of the page, so we don't get the corresponding code asssociated to the index. Cordially, Ludovic. |

My last tests were with 7.0. I will investigate the 6.1sp2 issue. It is a simple project from which you can start with if you like. It is there to help people who might not be as comfortable as others in setting up their own project from scratch. It uses any javax.xml.transform capable XSLT engine. Speed is an issue, velocity is way faster. But it should be possible to enhance the current implementation to use Xalans precompiled stylesheets ("Translets" IIRC). An useful enhancement that's still outstanding is the support for some needed java extenstion in the stylesheets like URL escaping etc. Please email me if your need help for a certain problem. -billy. --=20 Meisterbohne S=F6flinger Stra=DFe 100 Tel: +49-731-399 499-0 eL=F6sungen 89077 Ulm Fax: +49-731-399 499-9 |

hi matt=20 just a question:=20 which bea wls did you use to check these bugfixes? with wls6.1sp2 or with wls7.0?=20 it seems that your lastest modifications (in the cvs) only=20 work on wls7.0.=20 In wls6.1sp2 instead e.g. the HelloWorld=20 example doesn't even start and worse it breaks up our current project.=20 can you confirm this? thanks and cheers -paolo > -----Urspr=FCngliche Nachricht----- > Von: ma...@sm... I *finally* found and fixed the WL bugs that I'm aware of. All examples should now work. In summary, JSP action was not properly wrapping the response and URLTag wasn't behaving correctly when it had a body of param tags. -Matt |

Is the webwork:url tag used anywhere else in the page? This could be = another symptom of the tag handler reuse issue. A servlet container is = allowed to re-use the tag handler if the optional attribute set of the = tag instance is the same as the previous use, but WLS was reusing the = tag handler instances even when the optional attribute set was NOT the = same. > -----Original Message----- > From: Graf Patrick [mailto:pat...@pr...] > Sent: Tuesday, May 07, 2002 5:20 AM > To: 'ma...@sm...' > Cc: WebWork-User (E-Mail) > Subject: AW: [Webwork-user] Problems using tabbed pane >=20 >=20 > Hi Matt, >=20 > I'have played around with the tabbed pane example and have=20 > found the bug > (hopefully!)=20 >=20 > In the template tabbedpane.jsp you find the an link which=20 > looks like this: > <a href=3D"<webwork:url><webwork:param name=3D"indexLink" > value=3D"@tabIndex/next"/></webwork:url>"> >=20 >=20 > I now added the (not required) parameter value with the=20 > corresponding action > for the example so it looks like the following: > <a href=3D"<webwork:url value=3D"'tabbedpane.action'"><webwork:param > name=3D"indexLink" value=3D"@tabIndex/next"/></webwork:url>"> >=20 >=20 > And now it works! >=20 >=20 > So it seems to me, that the parameter value is required. Hi Matt, I'have played around with the tabbed pane example and have found the = bug (hopefully!)=20 In the template tabbedpane.jsp you find the an link which looks like = this: <a href=3D"<webwork:url><webwork:param name=3D"indexLink" value=3D"@tabIndex/next"/></webwork:url>"> I now added the (not required) parameter value with the corresponding = action for the example so it looks like the following: <a href=3D"<webwork:url value=3D"'tabbedpane.action'"><webwork:param name=3D"indexLink" value=3D"@tabIndex/next"/></webwork:url>"> And now it works! So it seems to me, that the parameter value is required. So this looks = like a bug (IMHO).=20 What do you think? Cheers -Patrick we are using - webwork 1.0.2 - bea weblogic 6.1sp2 with the provided jdk runtime (1.3.1_02 as far as = I know) > -----Urspr=FCngliche Nachricht----- > Von: ma...@sm... we are using - webwork 1.0.2 - bea weblogic 6.1sp2 with the provided jdk runtime (1.3.1_02 as far as = I know) but it's not only the tabbed pane expample Some of the other examples don't work like:=20 - "Using JSP as action" (for the error see JspAction.err) - "WebTable Test" (for the error see webtabletest.err) - "Date selector" (for the error see DateSelector.err) and some more. And this behaviour occurs on 3 computers. -patrick > -----Urspr=FCngliche Nachricht----- > Von: ma...@sm... [mailto:ma...@sm...] > Gesendet: Montag, 6. I created a CVS related mail list for those of you that like to read commits :). All future CVS changes will be sent there. This means WW has three mail lists - user, development, and cvs. I decided to keep user and development. I think this makes the most sense long term. -Matt |

Also ValueStack.findValue() can be used to look for properties the same way ww tags do. --- Owen Taylor <ow...@mi...> wrote: > Can you use usebean tags? > > That would allow you to use the beans you write that inherit from Action, > without using the ww-specific tags. > > Cheers, > > Owen. > -----Original Message----- > From: web...@li... > [mailto:web...@li...]On Behalf Of notyy > Sent: Monday, May 06, 2002 12:25 PM > To: Web...@li... > Subject: [Webwork-user] how to use webwork without using webwork jsp tag? > > > Hi everybody > > I've tried webwork, and I like it's ACTION framework, but I not ready to use > it's jsp tag(not yet),so how to > use pure jsp page with webwork? > for example,MyAction recieved some parameters, and retrieve some data or > some object to be shown in the next page, how can I do this > without using EL or webwork jsp tag in my jsp page? put everything in > session? :( > I've read the document(pdf),but can't find an answer,so anyone can help > me? > ===== Cuong Q. Can you use usebean tags? That would allow you to use the beans you write that inherit from Action, without using the ww-specific tags. Cheers, Owen. -----Original Message----- From: web...@li... Hi everybody I've tried webwork, and I like it's ACTION framework, but I not ready to use it's jsp tag(not yet),so how to use pure jsp page with webwork? for example,MyAction recieved some parameters, and retrieve some data or some object to be shown in the next page, how can I do this without using EL or webwork jsp tag in my jsp page? put everything in session? :( I've read the document(pdf),but can't find an answer,so anyone can help me? |
