Hi, What is the recommended way for non-java client ( flash, vb, pb, etc ) to interact with webwork ? We are currently looking at using flash as an alternative ui for our jsp app and would like get some input/recommendation from the community. Looking forward, there might also the need to interact to .net client thanks. Regards, Low __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! I'd think you may want to go ahead and announce now if you're going to mark a binary as final, because I don't think a week of non-publication is going to bring in enough of a new user-base, or be enough time for new users to find the problems that will appear and are going to have to be fixed in a later patch anyways. Heh, but then again, announcing is one thing, and articles are another. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Matt Baldree" <ma...@sm...> To: "Rickard" <ri...@mi...> Cc: "Webwork-Developer" <web...@li...> Sent: Tuesday, March 19, 2002 7:03 AM Subject: Re: [Webwork-devel] release > I think we should go ahead and create a binary now for public consumption. > If after a week or so everything is quiet, then announce. I think we should go ahead and create a binary now for public consumption. If after a week or so everything is quiet, then announce. It would also be nice to write an article for JavaWorld. Are we still waiting on something? While we wait, I have tagged CVS for 1.0. This means that those that would like to commit for a future release can go ahead as long as they have updated from HEAD. -Matt |

Ok, I agree! I will put it back after the webwork 1.0 release (sorry I could not find the time earlier!) Well, since we haven't heard back on this I went ahead and rolled this back so we can release 1.0. I also tagged the root of CVS with "root_of_1_0". -Matt ----- Original Message ----- From: "Matt Baldree" <ma...@sm...> To: "Webwork-Developer" <web...@li...> Sent: Friday, March 15, 2002 4:36 PM Subject: prevayler demo > Hristo, > > Are you planning on rolling back your commits? Hristo, Are you planning on rolling back your commits? I don't think we should include any examples, tests that are not functionally complete. This example will need to wait until next release. AFAIK, 1.0 is now being held up until these files are removed. -Matt |

I say we rollback these files for now. We're about to release and we're at a code freeze. Introducing more new code at this moment causes instability. After 1.0 we can add all these things! /V I also have a lot of commits to do, but have been considerate about the release.
