Category: None Group: None >Status: Closed >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Oliver Bock (oliverbock) >Assigned to: Christoph Zwerschke (cito) Summary: OneShot installation instructions should mention permissions Initial Comment: Is this is the most suitable place for documentation suggestions? Anyway, I'd like to suggest that the OneShot.cgi section in the WebKit installation instructions should remind the user that AppServer will be running as nobody, and that therefore "other" requires write permissions to Cache, ErrorMsgs, Logs, Sessions AND any .pyc files and their directories for .py files that will be modified. Without write permission, changes mysteriously have no effect. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Christoph Zwerschke (cito) Date: 2008-02-07 22:33 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=193957 Originator: NO Applied in r7213 after more than 4 years, but better later than never :-) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=104866&aid=825169&group_id=4866 |
