The idea in using AJAX for the WebFlow library is the following; the basic version will allow to go through a WebFlow using the "good old way", meaning links and forms.
Now, as it is not cool enough and as it is possible to improve the user experience using AJAX, the WebFlow library will provide a set of taglibs and utilities to be able to submit those links and forms through AJAX and handle the response through a small Javascript layer.
This will allow the website's developer to define advanced behavior when a transition is executed (partial refresh of the screen, execution of a piece of Javascript code transmitted by the server in the AJAX response...) and give the user the feeling on staying on the same page the whole time and having just the correct parts of the page be updated.
Now, as this part is quite difficult and need to be stabilized a lot before being interesting to use, it will not be part of the first alpha / beta releases but will be available in the future, so keep posted.
Best regards,
