It's weird that your prod and development are so different. We were beta testers and early adopters of CE6 (Vista 4). All our tablespaces have datafiles of 4gig (test and prod). Our production database is 500gig. The WEBCT_LOB table space is 296gig of that and consists of 74 4gig files. The size of these files should have come from the WebCT provided template used when DBCA was run to create the database, unless your DBA's changed it. If you plan to migrate to NG, the LOB space won't be part of the database any longer, but somehow part of the filesystem (or so I've been told). To change now would likely require an export/import of the tablespace which might take a very long amount of dedicated time. Michael T. Cooling co...@cs...
