#3 users can't log in

Hello,

My installation seems to have gone without a hitch, but I'm now
encountering the following problem:

If I add a user everything works properly until I edit that user.
When I do so that user is no longer able to log in. I've logged on as
Admin and changed the password for these users and they still
can't log in. The only way to restore access is to delete a user in
question and re-add them.

I have examined the database in phpMyAdmin and noticed that any
user who has been edited seems to be defaulting to a particular
password: 696d29e0940a4957748fe3fc9efd22a3 is the encrypted
password for all edited users.

Please advise; I can't go any farther without resolving this
problem.
