After adding a still image as a source with pixel addressability of around 1700x1200, the image quality suffered as it was forced down to 320x200. I can manually increase the height and width in the "stream panel", and I can do the same in the mixer, but this does not improve the quality because the output "resolution" appearing next to the resource monitor is stuck at 320x200.

The output panel does not give a control for the framerate and size. Documentation here and out in the wild, as well as youtube videos show older interfaces, where there was such an option. Has the option been eliminated?

Hi, i'm sorry but at this very moment nobody seems to work to WS Project but me when I have time.
You have to rise the Mixer resolution using the spins Width and Height on the Left part under the Mixer Tab.
Once you chose your resolution click on the "Apply" button in the mixer tab too.
On the bottm of WS where you have the memory bar indicator, you will see the new resolution applied. Then you can try to load the picture and display it at a better resolution.
The Outputs will always follow the Mixer resolution.

You are right, documentation is very poor.
    You can try reading this:
    https://sourceforge.net/projects/webcamstudio/files/Documentation/WebcamStudio-QuickStart.pdf/download
    and:
    http://dl.fullcirclemagazine.org/issue90_en.pdf
    (Page.17)

    Thanks for the feedback.
    karl.

    Thanks Karl!

I originally tried the "apply to streams" button, but apparently that was the wrong one. It does in fact work with /apply/. And assuming my understanding is correct, perhaps the buttons should be renamed to "apply to input streams" and "apply to output"? Anyway, I suppose I shouldn't add to your workload. I appreciate you taking a moment to update the ticket.

You welcome Free Buju and thanks for the feedback.
The button "Apply to Streams" was designed to update all the loaded streams to the new mixer settings if the user choose to change the mixer settings (and push the "apply" button) after some streams have been already loaded at the old mixer resolution. Each loaded streams get the maximum resolution based on the current mixer settings, so i try a way to update the streams resolution if the mixer resolution was changed in the meanwhile. In WS The output resolution always follow the mixer resolution.
    Have a good day.
    karl.
