Hey Mauro, did you get the webcam working in the end? I have the exact problems as you! Anton
Hi. Same problem here. Has anyone had any progress fixing this problem? I am trying to connect a Logitech ES2500 to a Powerbook G4 15".
I have the same problem - Maccam can't get any video from the E2500 ("No device found") on my MacMini and iBook G4. The Product ID and Vendor ID check out, and the USB microphone is working, but there is no video.
Possibly, the controller chip has changed - Vimicro Chip Detector (http://www.vimicro.com/english/product/pc003.htm) returns a "No Vimicro Device Found".
Is there any way to check which controller is being used? (Hopefully without breaking open the camera!)
Thanks!
OK... it appears that the support for E2500 was added *after* the 0.9.2 release (2008-05-29). Support for E2500 should be available in the later CVS builds starting macam-cvs-build-2008-09-19.zip
If you download the latest CVS build (macam-cvs-build-2009-09-25.zip - https://sourceforge.net/projects/webcam-osx/files/cvs-build/\), E2500 *should* work. (I haven't tested this yet, but seems it works for others.)
Thanks to tyuigh for figuring this out! (https://sourceforge.net/projects/webcam-osx/forums/forum/145156/topic/3405450)
