I have Logitech Quickcam Messenger with USB PID 0x08da & VID 0x046d (Logitech). I am running Leopard 10.5.6 but the camera is not detected in macam. I dont get any Video nor any error when starting the app. This cam seems to be supported by macam in the supported list. Please help me to get this working.

I have the same problem: camera is plugged in, Leopard is up to date and I have the newest version (not cvs) and it's not working despite the message in the list, that it should

Same camera. Mac OS X 10.5.7. I'm able to get video with the 2009-02-09 CVS build that's available for download, but the video is blocky and therefore not useful.

The chip manufacturer's drivers linked from the camera page do NOT work at all with this camera. I tried each of the Mac driver downloads for the ZC030x line.

Chaps, i have a quickcam messenger but i see there are two versions of it in the list of supported cameras, where do i check which version i have? I have installed latest macam.app and it seems to recognise 'logitech quickcam messenger' but there is no picture, the audio works in ichat. Running 10.5.7 on a Mac Mini

Why is this camera still on the list? I just bought one after seeing it there. Nothing. Not just no video or audio - this thing doesn't even power up. I'm on a G5 tower with 10.4.11, and yes I'm using a direct USB port, and yeah I've been through the FAQ and troubleshooting. Just wish I'd seen this forum before I bought it - or even better, that the camera wasn't on the list anymore. Please remove it from the list - this thing is obviously a piece of crap.
