Have installed the Usermin version of Usermin Custom Link 1. On 1.701 Usermin install. Installs OK. Can add Link, in this case, http://calendar.google.com. Right clicking OPEN IN NEW WINDOW (or TAB) work fine. Left clicking updates the right side panel and it's blank. Must be a target glitch.
Ideally I'd like to open the google calendar in it's own window or tab.
Using default Virtualmin Framed Theme (works best with Webmail for Usermin) though the Custom Link should work in any theme.
Lastly, I'd like to be able to place the Calendar Link (really just a cloned Custom Link) somewhere on the top level, Left Navigation pane. perhaps down by the Logout/Manage Folders, etc Links.
Thank You!!!
Rich
Does this problem happen in any theme, or just with the Virtualmin Framed Theme or Authentic Theme?
Jamie,
All themes including Authentic, caldera, Old usermin, etc..etc. Same problem. new tab/window opens calendar fine. regular click. Nothing at all.
Thanks for helping!!
Rich
The issue is most likely that google calender isn't allowed to run inside a frame. When editing the custom link in Webmin, you should be able to specify that it opens in a new window.
Jamie,
I have tried the target=new window tag and that didn't work. How would
you parse the command from withing the custom link variable?
Thanks!
Rich

What is the syntax for the link variable to allow opeing in a new window or tab rather than in a frame. I have tried all I can think of....
Thanks,
Rich
Have you tried logging into Webmin on the same system, going to Webmin -> Usermin Configuration -> Usermin Module Configuration -> Custom Link, and setting "Open in" to "New window" ?
Jamie,
There is no menu choice for "Open in" Just the ability to type a link URL in the box and save.
Perhaps that's another version?
