For problem 1, have a look at http://www.webmin.com/faq.html ,
question 28. It explains how to make usermin use the right
virtual domain
for From addresses.
For problem 2, this may be an error writing to the sent mail
file. Does the
user have a home directory with a ~/mail subdirectory?

Also to add to my last message - I am able to save a draft of
a message? Since I can send as root - it sounds like
something to do with permissions - any suggestions?
Appreciate your help

I am trying to send the message from a directory that is
writable by the normal user. Also, it doesn't seem to make
any difference if I chmod 4555 /usr/sbin/sendmail.. Again, if I
am root, I do not see this message, and it works just fine.
Any idea what directory it's trying to create the transcript
file? Other ideas to get it working again? Thanx
in advance..

I have the same problem. I can only send if I log in as root -
but not as a user
I have my user accounts as:
/home3/mail/username
and a subdirectory named mail for each user - I even tried
chmod 777 on the directory - but still
The error is:
Failed to send mail : Write failed :

Another thing to try - if you click on Preferences and turn
off the
'Save sent mail' option, does the error still happen?
