[webmin-l] backup and restore remote style

Hello agian all i am tring to use the backup and restore features of 
webmin.  I am going to be using this module for a full system dump to a 
remote machine but cannot seem to get the remote dumps to work just seem 
to run forever.  I have opened the firewall on the remote machine for 
now just to make sure that is not an issue and am using ssh.  What is 
puzzling is the fact that there seems to be no indication of what is 
going on just running or terminate.  If this is the only indication 
givin bye the webmin GUI where do i look for error messages,dump logs, 
anything?  Also i do not get an email at the end of the a dump or when i 
terminate a dump even though i added my email address to the dump options.

Hi Ryan,
I can think of a few things to check here :

1) When you start the backup, what is displayed in Webmin exactly?
2) Is there any record in /var/log/secure or /var/log/authlog on the
remote system indicating that the source system is actually logging in?
3) When the backup is running, what dump or tar processes can you see
running?
