I am still having issues with webmin filling the swap space i have about 500mb of ram not alot i know but should be enough i think. Also there is 1g of swap space I have turned off most of the cronjobs started by webmin and i keep getting an error like this i have upgraded webmin but this error did not go away how do i put collectinfo.pl back? Jamie didn't tell you to delete the file. He told you to delete the cronjob that is executing it. cron runs things on schedule...it's not mysterious. If there is a cronjob calling collectinfo.pl it'll try to call it on schedule. Deleting the collectinfo.pl script just makes it impossible to call until the next time you upgrade Virtualmin and the file gets put back in place. Use the Webmin Scheduled Cron Jobs module to remove the job that is calling collectinfo.pl. Note that collectinfo.pl isn't that big of a process. Your box is pretty low on memory if it can't run it, so you should probably go through this guide for running Virtualmin on a low memory system: http://www.virtualmin.com/documentation/id,virtualmin_on_low_memory_systems/ RYAN M. vAN GINNEKEN wrote: > HELP!!! This can be done in Webmin, or using the crontab -e command run as root. > > - Jamie > > > On 13/Aug/2007 23:32 RYAN M. vAN GINNEKEN wrote .. > > hello all i got a real problem webmin is loading my system with tonnes of these and overflowing my swapspace killing processes that need it too this what i get in the logs below that is the process that webmin is starting alot of pretty sure that is what is causing the probelms. > > Aug 13 18:00:09 computerking kernel: swap_pager_getswapspace(16): failed > Aug 13 18:00:09 computerking kernel: swap_pager_getswapspace(3): failed > Aug 13 18:00:09 computerking last message repeated 33 times > Aug 13 18:00:09 computerking kernel: pid 35743 (perl5.8.8), uid 0, was killed: out of swap space > Aug 13 20:00:08 computerking kernel: pid 40292 (perl5.8.8), uid 0, was killed: out of swap space > Aug 13 20:05:06 computerking kernel: pid 40492 (perl5.8.8), uid 0, was killed: out of swap spac e > Aug 13 20:15:05 computerking kernel: pid 40865 (perl5.8.8), uid 0, was killed: out of swap space > Aug 13 20:20:05 computerking kernel: pid 41050 (perl5.8.8), uid 0, was killed: out of swap space > Aug 13 20:25:06 computerking kernel: pid 41248 (perl5.8.8), uid 0, was killed: out of swap space > Aug 13 20:30:05 computerking kernel: pid 41434 (perl5.8.8), uid 0, was killed: out of swap space > Aug 13 20:35:05 computerking kernel: pid 41625 (perl5.8.8), uid 0, was killed: out of swap space > Aug 13 20:40:05 computerking kernel: pid 41804 (perl5.8.8), uid 0, was killed: out of swap space > Aug 13 20:45:05 computerking kernel: pid 33572 (mysqld), uid 88, was killed: out of swap space > Aug 13 20:45:06 computerking kernel: pid 42007 (perl5.8.8), uid 0, was killed: out of swap space > Aug 13 20:50:05 computerking > > > THERE ARE LIKE A HUNDRED OF THESE > > /webmin/virtual- > root 92 218 0.0 0.0 17452 0 ??
